Marsha Ellen Armstrong Lloyd

March 12, 1952 — July 15, 2026

With grateful hearts we announce the passing of Marsha Ellen (Armstrong) Lloyd on July 15, 2026. Born March 12, 1952, to Delbert Dale Armstrong and Wylodine (Leach) Armstrong. She was blessed by the spiritual heritage of her parents and furthered the faith of many through her witness and teaching. She lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.

Marsha married the love of her life, Terry Lee Lloyd, on September 4, 1971. Together they built a life centered on Christ and family. Her greatest blessings were being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, preschool teacher, and consummate homemaker — roles she filled with evident love, patience, and joy.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Andrew Lloyd (Carrie), Terra Lloyd Stead (Jason), Eric Lloyd (Annie) and Jarod Lloyd (Stacey); her grandchildren: Alyson Dempsey, Emberli Lloyd, Emma Brase, Reed Lloyd, Benjamin Stead, Brayden Edwards, Caleb Lloyd, Rowen Lloyd, Evie Lloyd, Lucy Lloyd, Aunalise Stead, and Joel Lloyd; her great‑grandchildren: Asher Dempsey, Attyson Dempsey, Jackson Brase, and William Brase.

Marsha is also survived by her cherished siblings and brothers‑ and sisters‑in‑law: Chloe Marshment, Susan Michael, Don and Karen Armstrong, Dick and Brenda Armstrong, Anne Callahan, Dan and Lynda Lloyd, and Dave and Becky Reymond, and many much‑loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother‑in‑law, Floyd Callahan; nephew, Allan Marshment; father and mother-in-law, Don and Margaret Lloyd; and great‑nephew, Owen Armstrong.

Marsha’s faith was central to her life, and the Bible was a constant source of inspiration and guidance. Along with her favorite verses, she wrote in notes she left for the family, “God has never failed us. He's always with us. I praise His wonderful name. I am thankful for the Lord and the relationship we shared.”

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.” — 1 Chronicles 16:34

Some of her favorite memories included: growing up in the Wesley Church youth group; helping lead the pioneering 1970s outreach to high schoolers and young adults known as the Coffee House ministry; hosting meals for family and friends that welcomed more people than could fit in her home; Sunday dinners at her parents’ farm where the whole family gathered; Grandad’s lively family dinner nights at Cardo’s; baking award‑winning pies for the Apple Festival; attending the 1970s Jesus Festivals including one with a tornado; and her grandchildren cracking up when she shared that she woke up in the night and couldn’t sleep so casually just read the book of Ephesians. These memories reflect her hospitable spirit, her passion for ministry, and the joy she found in family and community.

For thirty‑two years she served as a beloved preschool teacher at Christian Life Academy, where she sowed seeds of faith and love into many young hearts — a ministry treasured by families and colleagues alike.

Marsha’s warmth, steady faith, and generous spirit touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for her hospitality, her encouragement, and her quiet confidence in God’s goodness. Her legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured, the family she loved, and the faith she shared.

The family extends special thanks to Adena Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Marsha’s final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 8 from 2:00–4:00 PM at Wesley Cove Church in Jackson, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Christian Life Academy or ALS United Ohio in her memory.
