Lois Christina Betts, age 86, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Monday, February 12th, 2024, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born November 22nd, 1937, in Grundy, Virginia to the late Thomas and Elsie (Clevenger) Thornton.

She is survived by her daughter, Edna White of Louisiana; son, Steven A. (Debbie) Betts of Oak Hill, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Betts of Oak Hill, Ohio; grandchildren: Stacey Vennes, Ronald Lee Riffe, Patricia Zinn, Tammy Ruth Betts, Christina Trowbridge, Kellie Chaney, Travis Lee McDaniel, and Danielle Faith Gillum; great-grandchildren: Dakota Dowden, Steven E. Betts, Eric Zinn, Danielle Zinn, Macy Zinn, Kylan Childers, Jersey McDaniel, Charli McDaniel, Remington Biggs, and Owen Gillum; cousin, Betty Betts; and several great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 70 years, John Edward Betts; and her sons, Charles Edward Betts and Thomas Harrison Betts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16th, 2024, from 1-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3PM with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
