Lew Ervin “Ervie” Moore, age 70, lost his battle with colon cancer on Friday October 27, 2023. He was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on September 1, 1953, to the late Carl and Dessie (Clark) Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Janell (Miller) Moore; children, Amber Moore, Andrew Moore (Adrian O’Neill), Mike (Tina) Moore and Rebecca Moore-Flannery-Barnett; grandchildren: Chad Moore, Dylan Moore, Erika Moore, Sean Flannery, Michaela Flannery, Darien Flannery, and Marijane Barnett and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings: David (Patsy) Moore, Teresa (Kenny) Hughes, Clayton Moore, and sister-in-law, Debbie Moore, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ervin loved deer hunting and fishing with his family and friends. And, always had a story to tell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Moore and his two brothers, Robert (Freck) Moore and Alan Moore.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 1-3 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 with Pastor Fred Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
