Jennie Waugh Helman

Jennie Waugh Helman, age 69, of Londonderry, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Berger Hospital in Circleville, due to an extended illness that she has fought since July of 2024.  She was born August 25, 1956, in Oak Hill, to the late Everett and Merle (Parks) Waugh.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Dean Helman, of Londonderry; her children, Justin (Robin) Waugh, and Jennifer (Shane) Hess, both of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Jacob and Ava Waugh, Jenna Helman, and Kinley Hess; her sisters, Hope (Wayne) Rider and Carol Turner; and her brothers-in-law, Dale Graves and Tony Crabtree.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Graves and Teresa Crabtree.

Jennie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the family she held so dear. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 12-2 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Pastor Zach Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
