Jarrel Burchett, age 76, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio following a short illness. He was born in Louisa, Kentucky on December 31, 1946, to the late Jarvie & Zelda (Hylton) Burchett.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda (Smith) Burchett; his daughter, Melissa Holter; his son, Kevin (Misty) Burchett; two grandchildren; a brother; and two sisters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Burchett and son-in-law, Bruce Holter.

He was currently the manager of the Jackson County airport. He retired from Plibrico in Firebrick, Ohio and also retired as an Oak Hill school bus driver, where he was known as “JB”.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral at 1:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral home of Oak Hill. A burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
