James "Jimmy" W. Bevins

James W. “Jimmy” Bevins, age 84, of Patriot, Ohio passed away Monday, May 25th, 2026, at his home. He was born June 26th, 1941, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late James and Gladys (Bowling) Bevins Jr.

Jimmy is survived by his sons, James T. (Robbin) Bevins and John L. Bevins; his grandchildren: James R. (Jeanie) Bevins, Alex Bevins, and Renee Brumfield; great-grandchildren: James D. Bevins, Madison Bevins, Harmony Bevins, and Faith Jones; sisters, Betty Bush and Mary Bevins; and brother, Tom Bevins.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; his daughter, Ruth Bevins; his sisters, Ella Radcliffe and Vida Lambert.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 1st, 2026, from 11Am-12PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with a service after at 12PM. Burial will follow at Olive Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
