Herbert "Brent" Crabtree

Herbert “Brent” Crabtree, age 65, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at his home. He was born November 25, 1960, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Herbert and Sidonna (Colley) Crabtree.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Connie (Grover) Crabtree; daughter, Michelle (Scott) McNerlin; grandchildren, Hannah Campbell, Gavin Crabtree, Paige Zentner, Braxton, Bentley, Ben, and Max McNerlin; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Grover; and sister, Christy Hooten. He is also survived by his nieces, Sarah (Zak) Waugh and Brook (Ryan) Perry; great nieces, Lexi Perry, Hattie Waugh, and Molly Waugh; and uncle, Terry (Debbie) Colley.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his great grandson, Damon James Denny.

Brent graduated from Jackson High School in 1979. He worked for the Jackson City Schools as a custodian for 30 years, until his retirement. Other than his family he loved Jesus and the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of the Liberty Christian Center Church.

At Brent’s request graveside services were held at Bethel Ridge Cemetery with his family and close friends. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
