Garrett Vander-Molen

Garrett “Bubba” Andrew Vander-Molen, age 24, of Jackson, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 4th, 2026. He was born February 7th, 2002, in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Garrett was a 2020 graduate of Jackson High School. He formerly worked as a corrections officer at CCI, but was most recently employed at Bellisio’s. Garrett loved the outdoors and spent his free time tinkering on his truck, 4-wheeling, and spending time with his friends. Music was his refuge and he enjoyed many different genres. His greatest joy in life however was his children. He  loved them fiercely and was an amazing father.

He is survived by his parents, Cynthia (Kevin) Hughes and Patrick Vander-Molen; his son, Emerson Lambert; his daughter, Chloe Vander-Molen; brothers, Thomas Cross and Jason (Jonnie Lee) Hughes; sister, Samantha (Kevin) Sickles; grandparents, Thomas and Bessie Yager, Dennis and Merrie Vander-Molen, and Kathleen Hughes; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Chris Christian.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, from 4PM-6PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
