Fred C. Zupp Jr.

Fred C. Zupp Jr., age 79, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026.

Fred was born in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Fred C. Zupp Sr. and Betty Zupp. He proudly served his country and was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

Fred was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his son, Fred (Jackie) Zupp III of Ray, Ohio; his daughter, Robin (Tom) Scaggs of Jackson, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Thomas (Corey) Scaggs of Jackson, Ohio, Taylor (Bradley) Fulton of Ray, Ohio, and Kaitalyn (Shawn) Waddle of Waverly, Ohio. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren—Carter, Marleigh, Taylor, Daisy, and Griffin—whom he loved very much and cherished deeply. He is also survived by his special friend, Valerie Downard, who held a meaningful place in his life.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Louie.

Fred enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center, where he made many friends and found great joy in companionship and conversation. His presence there will be missed by all who knew him.

Fred will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, and the many friendships he built throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on February 21st, 2026, at the Jackson Senior Center from 1 PM to 3 PM.
