Ethel M. Adkins, age 73, of Oak Hill, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born September 7, 1949, in Dunbar West Virginia to the late Tilden Ray and Letha E. (Iman) Counts.

She is survived by her daughters Tammy Adkins, April (Curtis) Welch, Sara Adkins and Wendy (Cody) Peters; grandchildren, Matthew (Bre) Hall, R.P. (Karla) Roof, Andrew (Kara) Roof, Brittany (Herschel) Mumaw, Jerrod Potter, Kelsey (Russell) Mullins, Brandon Bartram, Meagan Taylor, and Kyle (Caitlin) Bartram; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Melvin Counts. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Adkins; brothers, Frank Counts, and Tilden Counts.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, at the Madison Jefferson Bingo Hall from 5-7 PM. At her request her body was cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
