Duane Adkins, age 58, of Brazoria, Texas passed away at home on February 8th, 2023. Duane was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on November 18th, 1964. He is the son of the late Fenzie Adkins and Juanita (Snyder) Parker.

Duane moved to Texas in the early 1980’s and ran his own carpet cleaning business for several years. He loved his family, his cats, his friends, and fishing.

He is survived by his brother, Gregg (Phyllis) Jones of Brazoria, Texas; two sisters, Diana M. Needham of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Candy Lewis (Zeke Glasgow) of Jackson, Ohio; sister-in-law, Debbie Jones of Jackson, Ohio; cousin, Ann Evans of Oak Hill, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, and many friends made along the way.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Parker; sister, Karen Sue Gomez of Immokalee, Florida, brother David Brian Jones of Jackson, special niece, Jackie Sue Betts, and long-time friend Lorraine Floyd.

The calling hour for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023, from 1-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, 28 Harding Ave, Jackson OH 45640. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2PM with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery in Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
