Doshia "Marie" Miller

Doshia “Marie” Miller, age 79, passed away July 12th, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Marie was born January 30th, 1947, in Van, West Virginia to the late Joy and Virginia (Long) Ramey.

Marie worked as a sales associate at Walmart from which she retired. She was a devoted wife to a wonderful man who was a Vietnam Veteran and amazing mother to her children. Our family has lost not only a mother, but also a friend and we will miss her dearly.

Marie was a faithful Christian and believed in God and his son, Jesus Christ. She had a great sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. She was always sending texts and good morning greetings to her family and friends and called regularly to check in and make sure everyone was doing ok.

When she was able, Marie enjoyed shopping, decorating her home, and watching football. She had a love for nature and flowers and liked to spend time watching butterflies and cardinals. She also enjoyed music, especially Elvis and Conway Twitty.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Miller; her sons, Kenneth Ray Jr. (Becky Debord) Miller and Richard Gregory Miller; her grandchildren: Matthew Miller whom she helped raise as a son, Josh Teasley, Kenneth “Bubby” Miller, Kenle Marie Miller, and Courtney Miller; great-grandchildren: Kenneth James Miller, Madison, and Kenneth Rae Miller; siblings, Edward Ramey and Gloria Keeney; special neighbor and friend whom she loved, Kim Hatten; special friend to her and her daughter, Airen Sanderson; as well as numerous other family members and friends whom she cherished.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Miller; her son, Kyle Miller; and two grandchildren, Logan Miller and Morgan Miller.
