Deborah Jane (McCorkle) Clifford, age 77, of Oak Hill, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born November 12, 1948, to George and Goldie (Brown) McCorkle.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Jayme (Troy) Leinberger and Joey Leinberger of Hamilton, Ohio; brother, Ralph (Norma) McCorkle of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; and two sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John (Skip) Clifford, as well as six brothers and four sisters.
Debbie graduated in the class of 1966 from Oak Hill High School. She and John married in April of 1973. Debbie had many different jobs over the years and retired from GDC inn 2009. She enjoyed attending the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. She loved traveling with her family and friends, with a sunrise on the beach being high on her list. Reading, baking, and playing cards were some of her favorite hobbies. Skip and Debbie founded the Annual Samsonville Memorial Day Parade in 2004. This event has provided endless entertainment for the community. Her favorite part was visiting with family and friends at the conclusion of the parade.
Debbie will be remembered for her fierce love of family, fun sense of humor, kind heart, and contagious laugh.
A public graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Bethel Cemetery in Oak Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Growing Oaks, PO Box 152, Oak Hill, Ohio, 45656. Online condolences can be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
