Dean Kirk Akers, age 61, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Friday, March 26th, 2021 at Holzer of Jackson. He was born August 31st, 1959 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Baxter and Mary Lou (Hayes) Akers.

Dean is survived by his daughter, Megan (Michael) Buchholz; son, Jonathan Akers; granddaughter, Jenna Marie Sefcovic; sisters, Alice Lehew and Helen Lanier; niece, Sarah (Mike) Cancel; nephews, David (Wendy) Lehew, Jakim Lanier, Micah (Ashley) Lanier, and Aaron (Brandy) Lanier; great-nieces and nephews, Jaden Cancel, Haidyn, Macabee, Beck, Alexis, Charlotte, Wren, Tynley, Grant, and Paige; and best friend, Mark Parker.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Jeramy Dean; step-mother, Pauline Akers; and sister, Sarah Ann Akers.

Dean had a gift, and that was the ability to see the best in people. He loved unconditionally.

I can only imagine how happy you are now, on equal footing with everyone. Enjoy it Dean, we love you!
