David A. Maynard

David A. “Dave” Maynard, age 74, of Oak Hill, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home after a short battle with cancer.

Davis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda (Henry) Maynard, of Oak Hill; one son, Brian Maynard, of Oak Hill; two grandsons, Zach (Sarah) Maynard, of Oak Hill and Riley Maynard, of Gallipolis; three great grandchildren: Addie, Everlee and Huntley, all of Oak Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Elsie Maynard; sister, Roberta Maynard Miller; and mother and father-in-law, Donna and Rich Henry.

He met the love of his life Brenda (Henry) at Oak Hill high school and they have been together ever since, married for over 55 years. Dave worked at Bellisio Foods as a maintenance supervisor since 1968 until his retirement.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Adena Home Health and Hospice, and to special people, Tim and Susan Wilson for all the help.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 2-4 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
