Connie Lou Hatten Bapst passed away peacefully in the care of hospice on January 1, 2023, in Pataskala, Ohio. Connie was Born September 13, 1936, in Jackson, Ohio and was the youngest of 5 children born to the late Frank Hatten Sr. and Edith Mercer Hatten.

Connie was proceeded in death by her husband of 64 years, George Franklin Bapst; her parents, Frank Hatten and Edith Mercer; her brother, Frank Hatten Jr; and her sisters, Katherine Scurlock and Dorothy Miller.

Connie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who spent her days caring for her family. She was an artist, a caregiver, she was full of energy, and never met a challenge too great. Her energetic and quick-witted personality will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Connie is survived by her sons, George Bapst Jr and Brian Bapst (Kathy); her grandsons, Aaron Bapst (Mindy), Kevin Bapst (Jill), Jason Bapst and Joseph Bapst; her great granddaughters, Emma Bapst and Jorja Bapst; sister, Pauline Walker and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will follow Thursday at 11:00 with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
