Carolyn O Adkins

Carolyn (Ball) Adkins passed away Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, at Jackson Care Center of Jackson, Ohio. Carolyn was born in Pike County, Kentucky on November 12th, 1946, to the late George and Net Ball.

Carolyn was quick to help anyone in need. Working in healthcare didn’t stop at just her job, it was a constant. Being a caregiver is who she was, as she tried to use the Lord as her example. She was known as a dedicated, hard worker who went beyond what was expected, always trying to do her best with a kind heart.

Carolyn will be dearly missed. May she rest high on God’s mountain or in the valley of flowers the Father allowed her to see with her loved ones that left before her.

She is survived by her sons, Scott (Beth) Adkins, Jeff Adkins (Crissy Chapman), Chris Adkins, and Jason Adkins all of Oak Hill, Ohio; and her sisters, Terri Kuhn of Oak Hill, Ohio and Kathy Ball of Chillicothe, Ohio.

Besides her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Vencil Adkins; granddaughter, Lorna Brooke Adkins; and brothers, Kenny Ball and James Ball.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 18th, 2026, at 3PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
