Carol “Yvonne” Stone, age 87, of South Webster went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth after an extended illness. She was born July 10, 1939, in Oak Hill, to the late William Clayton and Edna (Radabaugh) French.

Yvonne was a Christian woman, whose faith was strong. She loved going to church, listening to her gospel music and streaming Calvin Ray Ministries. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking for her family, watching traffic, and counting cars to pass the time.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Leslie Stone; her brother, Howard French; and her sisters, Wyoma Fulk, Edna Ruth Piguet, and Marcella Lore.

Yvonne is survived by her children, William Jeffrey Stone, Roberta Stone, Marsha Stone, James Anthony “Tony” Stone, and Ronald (Crystal) Stone; she is also survived by five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and four bonus great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Lucilla Cooper, Juanita (Fred) Clark, and Cheryl Moore; brothers: Gilbert (Patty) French, Orville (Gail) French, and Steve (Mary) French; and several nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 11-1 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Fred Crabtree officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
