Brenda Kay Humphreys Willis

Brenda Kay Humphreys Willis, age 70, passed away Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center of Chillicothe. She was born June 25th, 1955, in Jackson, Ohio.

Brenda was a 1973 graduate of Jackson High School. She owned and operated her own business, Candles by Brenda. In prior years she also worked at Figbee’s Pizza and Community Action of Wellston.

She enjoyed baking, tending to her flowers, and loved playing pool. Brenda worked at the elections office and worked the polls yearly. She had a big heart and was always willing to help those in need. One of her biggest joys was spending time with people.

Brenda is survived by her son, Chris Himelrick; brother, Richard Adkins; uncle, Bill Filsinger; special cousins, Betsy Crabtree, and Renee Kiern; Anneliese Dummitt-whom she loved like a daughter; dear friends, Rodney Mooney, and Joyce Masters; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Adkins and Helen Humphreys and her husband, Chuck Willis Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, from 11AM-1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will follow at 1PM at the funeral with a burial immediately after at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
