Bob Hollar, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 26th, 2025. Bob was born February 5th, 1945, in Deer Creek, Ohio to the late William and Calais (Baker) Hollar.
Bob was a 1963 graduate of West Jefferson High School. Immediately after high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving for four years during the Vietnam Era. As a civilian, he worked as a Columbus Firefighter, retiring after 25 years of service.
He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, and traveling.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon Hollar; his children, Ken (Kelly) Hollar and Kim (Rob) McGlone; grandchildren: Dillon (Lyn) Osmus, Kayli (Andrew) Kreais, Kari (Jake) Eldridge, and Allison McGlone; great-grandchildren: Luna and Sol Osmus, Theodore Kreais, and Elijah, Lyana, and Luka Eldridge; and siblings, Steve and Eddie Hollar.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, from 12PM-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A memorial service will follow at 3PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
