Jackson

Billie Lee Arthur, 92, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, surrounded by the family.

Born on December 11, 1933, Billie lived a life centered on faith, love, and devotion. She was a woman who loved the Lord deeply and lived that faith out in the way she cared for others. Through her kindness, strength, and steady example, she led many to Christ. While her passing leaves a profound emptiness, her family finds peace in knowing she is now home in Heaven with her Savior.

She is survived by her children: Patty (Keith) Gibson, Mary (Roger) Lightfoot, Rhonda Hooley, Roger (Dianne) Arthur, Garrett (Sandy) Arthur, James (Debbie) Arthur, Lafe (Gena) Arthur, and Sonya Hall. She also leaves behind generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her love forward.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Wilbur Arthur, who passed away in July 1979. Married for 31 years, it was a love that carried her through a lifetime and never left her heart. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren, Chase Arthur and Jamie Arthur.

Billie dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and caregiver. She had a gentle way about her that made people feel safe and deeply loved. Her grandchildren will always remember the comfort of being close to her, the way she welcomed them in, held them near, and made even the simplest moments feel special. Her love was constant, steady, and something they could always count on.

She was a longtime member of Elevate Ministries in Jackson, Ohio, where her faith continued to grow and touch the lives of others.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her special caregivers, Lori and Shelly, for the compassion and care they showed her, bringing comfort and dignity in her final days.

Though her family grieves deeply, they hold tightly to the promise of eternal life and the reunion that awaits. As Scripture reminds us:

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23

Billie’s life was one of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and endless love. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.

Per her wishes, no public services will be held. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Vega Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
