Betty Jo “BJ” Arbaugh of Jackson, Ohio, passed away on Sunday March 22, 2026 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on August 7, 1949, in Genoa, West Virginia, to the late Warnie and Lucille (Fry) Webb.
BJ was a proud graduate of Jackson High School. Throughout her life, she wore many hats—from working in factory professions to embracing her most cherished role as a full-time grandmother. Above all else, BJ’s greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply, gave selflessly, and found happiness in the moments spent surrounded by those she loved most.
She is survived by her sons, Jason (Trina) Arbaugh and Josh (Melissa Ewing) Arbaugh; her beloved grandchildren, Rebecca (Jay) Sharp, Mackenzie (Greg) Fenton, Riley (Sam Al-Shethry) Arbaugh, Blake (Madison Fletcher) Arbaugh, and Gavin (Taylor Houdasheldt) Arbaugh; as well as several great-grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her siblings: Janice (Larry) Logan, Jack (Twyla) Webb, Joyce (Garry) Hall, Gail (Jim) McGuire, Carol (Stan) Edwards, Tommy (Tammy) Webb, and Darlene (Butch) Kelley, along with many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
In addition to her parents, BJ was preceded in death by those who welcomed her into eternal rest.
A woman of quiet strength and unwavering love, BJ leaves behind a legacy that will live on through her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion, and the warmth she brought into every room.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
