Bettina Ann Hughes, age 80, passed away Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at Country Club Rehabilitation Center of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She was born January 4th, 1944, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Robert and Virginia (Eisnaugle) Simpson.

Bettina was a 1962 graduate of Jackson High School and worked as the director of the Jackson County Red Cross for over 25 years.

She is survived by her sisters, Janet K. Morley of Venetia, Pennsylvania and Joyce L. Miller of Fredericktown, Ohio; her grandchildren: Christian Hughes of Dublin, Ohio, Jordan Hughes of Lewis Center, Ohio, and Kala (Hughes) Burgess of Dublin, Ohio; and her daughter-in-law, Kendall Hughes of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Brian Hughes.

Per her wishes no public services will be held. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date in Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
