Ronnie Miller left this world peacefully surrounded by his family on October 14, 2022. He was cherished by family and friends and will be missed tremendously. Ronnie was born to Earl and Eva Miller on October 27, 1940, in Oak Hill and graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1957. He was a skilled electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. The majority of his career was spent at the Atomic Power Plant in Piketon. Ronnie was a member of the Jackson Elks Lodge, Victory Grange #1592, and the Oak Hill Masonic Lodge. He was proud of his profession and community connections, but what was always most important to Ronnie was his family and enjoying life one day at a time. Ronnie loved to travel with, as he lovingly called her, his “lady friend” LaDean, play golf, mow grass, go for coffee with friends, play cards, and was a dedicated supporter of local high school athletics. Later in life he prioritized his grandchildren, faithfully attending all school activities and sporting events. A generous man who was genuinely interested in others and their well-being, Ronnie was always quick with a compliment and would light up a room with his smile.

Ronnie is survived by his son Baron of Tacoma, Washington; son Gavin, his wife Rebecca, and their daughters Abby and Zoe of Athens, Ohio; brother Jerry, his wife Susan, of Lexington, Kentucky, and nephew Hagan; partner LaDean Orender and her family, Paula Stewart, husband Tom, and their sons Luke and Daniel; Shannan Orender, her children Jaimi (Bradley), Devin Orender and great grandchildren Levi and Bradley, all of Jackson, Ohio. Also surviving is the mother of his children, Toni Miller, also of Jackson.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and LaDean’s son, Johnny Orender.

Memorial service will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, October 19th at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Visitation will be from 3-4 PM. A reception will be held at the Elks Lodge #466 immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ronnie’s name and memory to Jackson High School Athletics 450 Vaughn Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640, or Oak Hill High School athletics, 205 Western Ave., Oak Hill, Ohio 45656.
