Michael “Mike” L. Kistler, age 64, of Jackson, Ohio passed away resting in his favorite chair at home on the evening of Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, after a hard-fought eight-year battle with cancer. He was born on the 24th of November 1957, to the late Carol Seitz (Kistler) and Roland W. Kistler.
Mike enjoyed riding the open road on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Most of all, he loved spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was his grandson’s biggest fan. He enjoyed watching him play ball and attended every game that he could. Before passing, he was able to share his enjoyment of hunting with his grandson as well. He and his wife would often take the grandkids for weekends, making memories the children will forever cherish.
He is survived by his wife, Becky (Riffle) Kistler of Jackson, Ohio; beloved four-legged companion, Maggie; his daughter, Felicia (Kistler) and Justin Adams of Waverly, Ohio; grandchildren, Bransen Michael Kistler and Madilyn Kistler; step-grandchildren, Kaiden Adams and Devon Adams; and brother, Eddie Kistler.
He is now at peace with those that preceeded him in death, including his sister, Brenda (Kistler) Core.
Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Friday, May 13th, 2022, from 5-8PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14th, 2022, at 11AM with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Coalton, Ohio. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
