Kristain Renee Bonecutter, age 34, of Oak Hill, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus. She was born October 24, 1990, in Gallipolis to Tina Marie (Kallner) Bonecutter and the late Robert D. Bonecutter.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather, Kirk Mayes; brothers, Doug (Hannah) Bonecutter, Kirk Mayes Jr. and Zach Mayes; niece, Addilyn Scott; aunts, Jacqueline Poteet, and Crystal Bonecutter; and grandfather, Robert M. Kallner. She is also survived by numerous friends and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert D. Bonecutter; grandmothers, Rachel Gilliland Morrison, and Mary Swann; and her uncle Martin Bonecutter.
Kristain graduated from Oak Hill High School in 2009. She worked for Portsmouth Ambulance. She was an avid reader, she loved music and loved to spend time with her friends and family. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 11-1 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Gallia Cemetery.
