Colin Strosnider Cavey passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 5th, 2024. He was born April 7th, 1985, in Ross, County, Ohio to the late Billy Meredith and Staci Mercer, who survives.
Colin is survived by his wife, Jamie Cavey; his children: Marc, Sylas, Vyctoria, and Lyncoln; his mother, Staci (Kevin) Mercer; grandparents: Lili Cavey and Bill and Wanda Meredith; siblings: Shea (Michelle) Meredith, Nashanda (Brett) Bobst, Kara (Brad) Taylor, Ethan Mercer, and Gage Mercer; aunts and uncles: Kevin Meredith, Greg Meredith, Mitchell Meredith, and Heather (Tom) Sorrell; nieces and nephews: Kole, Avanelle, Eli, Brantley, Coalton, Lilyan, Harper, Reilly, and MacKenzie; best friend, James Fields; as well as several cousins.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather and best friend, Mark Cavey.
Colin loved his family very much. He was a hard worker and took so much pride in his job as a tube welder. He was an avid deer hunter. Colin was always the one to say what everyone else was thinking and make everyone laugh. He was a wonderful friend and loved by many. He will be missed dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 15th, 2024, from 1-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
