Randel "Butch" Williams, age 74, of Pyro, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at his home, after an extended illness. Butch was born on May 9, 1945 in Ivel, KY to the late Willard and Bonnie Hall Williams.
Butch was an Army and Vietnam War Veteran. He served in the 1st Calvary Air Mobile Division, C Detachment, 27th Maintenance Battalion, Forward Support. Butch loved to hunt, fish, play horseshoes, play cards and Yahtzee, and travel to Florida to visit and fish with his cousin Freddy.
On November 9, 1965, Butch married the love of his life, Elizabeth Irene "Betty" Carter Williams, who preceded him in death on December 10, 2014.
Butch is survived by his children; Rhonda McGhee of Pyro, Randy (Amy) Williams of Jackson, and Robin (Ryan) Burton of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Erica (Jon) Stevison, Scott (Shaun Miller) McGhee, Kendra and Kaitlyn Williams, and Mikayla Burton (Brandon Gilliand), and Rebecca Burton (Gage Gilliand); great-grandchildren, Landon, Paige, and Garret Dailey; sisters-in-law, Sandy Williams and Donna Williams; brother-in-law, Roger Kozma, brother and sister-in-law, Forest and Mary Carter, along with his beloved puppy "Pap's Girl" as he would call her, Lucy.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Monk and Susie (Hopkins) Williams and Jack and Linne Belle (Endicot) Hall; two brothers, Clinton and Howard Williams; son-in-law, Roger McGhee; mother-in-law, Golda Carter; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Kozma.

Friends may call Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rondall Walker officiating.
