Jackson has lost a man who stood tall in the community with the passing of John Joseph.  He was a devoted husband, father, and community supporter.  In 1978, John was beginning to consider retirement with the Goodyear Tire facility when Randy and himself decided to open the doors and begin the business adventure which had evolved to R&J Gas LLC.  John had a love for fixing any type of small engine and his wisdom, craftsmanship and knowledge will be greatly missed!  John had a passion for the youth of Jackson and many a young athlete benefited from his mentoring over the many years.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan (Bamer) Joseph; children, Bryan (Winda) Joseph, of Chillicothe, Randy (Andrea) Joseph, of Jackson and Jonda (Brad) Dunn, also of Jackson.  Also surviving are his six grandchildren, Tammy Swisher, Nikki Willis, Mitchell Joseph, Joey Dixon, Kristen Shoemaker and Carly Joseph; brothers, Lawrence Joseph and James (Tuti) Joseph; sisters, Lillian (Johnny) Robinson, Linda Hall and Kathy Bentley; six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
